Ways to Collect Time Punches

The Fuse system can collect time punches from your employees in multiple ways. This article will cover the basics of the most commonly used options.

Web Browser

  • The web browser can be loaded from any device that runs a web browser, including smartphones, though the mobile app is better suited for mobile devices. Supported browsers include Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.
  • There is a .clock version of the website that doesn't require two-factor authentication when clocking. Employees enter their username and password and click their usual clock in/out or cost center change buttons.
  • This functionality can use IP restrictions to prevent employees from clocking outside the correct locations.

Mobile App

  • The Mobile App can be loaded on any mobile device. 
  • The mobile app can include the clock in/out/change cost center buttons directly on the login screen.
  • The mobile app can include GPS location restrictions to prevent employees from clocking outside the correct locations.

InTouch Time Clocks

  • InTouch time clocks are fully integrated physical clocks with many customization options. Employees will not only be able to punch in and out faster than ever, but the clocks also include many employee self-service functions, including, but not limited to, timesheet review, time off requests, or schedule shift swapping.
  • InTouch clocks allow for many different ways of clocking in, including:
    • Fingerprint biometrics
    • Facial recognition
    • HID proximity cards
    • Bar Code reader
    • Magnetic stripe cards
